swamped

not literally, of course.

I've gone back to school - through work, I'm upgrading my paramedic skills to advanced care. That means I get a few new tricks, a few new meds, and lots more to remember. It's a pretty intense course, so my knitting has (sob!) been pretty minimal lately. I have received two swap packages in the past week - my knitter's tea swap, which came from Kirsten in Denmark (I don't believe that she has a blog), and my Hot Socks swap, from Linda in Norway(also blogless). They each sent me some lovely balls of opal sock yarns in various pinks and browns (which I love) , as well as delicious teas and other treats. I unfortunately have no photos of the packages, though, because I may have been a bit too excited to open and use the stuff inside. In any case, very much appreciated. Now I'm waiting for the Coffee and Knitting swap to start (on swap-bot). Soon, my pretties...

Um...hello?

Okey. First post. I'm wicked tired and really just trying this whole blogging thing out. I found out just a bit too late that the whole Secret Pal exchange thing is non-blogger exclusionary. This made me sad. I really wanted to play those games. However, I did lock onto the knitter's tea swap and the Hot Socks swap on Swap-Bot. No packages have arrived yet (until I see it in action, I'm not convinced that some random stranger will actually send me fun stuff in the mail), but I did send out the tea swap one. It's going to Chicago. I've got some time before the Hot Socks package has to be mailed, and I'm waiting for my partner gives me more information on what she likes (I wouldn't want her to not like the stuff I sent. That would blow goats.) Um... that's it for now. The photo, incidentally, would be half of my girl cat in a Pi (catnip may or may not have been involved.)
